My dreams for black healing, black liberation and our future is for folx to be able to live care free, defining ourselves as we live loving, joyous, juicy and jubilant lives. Our lives are enriched with creativity, love, peace and hope. My dream is that we complete the works of our Ancestors and walk with our heads held high into our Divine purpose, birthright and individual callings that support and advance our communities. My hope is for a global pan-african solidarity, that lovingly includes all of us with no being left behind. As we stand in the power of our economic. spiritual and creative freedom.

Event Description

Physical distancing does not have to equal social distancing. How do we authentically show up for ourselves and others with compassion and transparency with so much uncertainty surrounding us? You’re invited to come as you are and welcome others with (NO SHADE/NO SHAME) as we intentionally buildup our community and hold space for one another with empathy, human connection, and refreshing dialogue. There will be interactive fun, self- reflection, group sharing, dancing and a musical performance featuring GoodLOVE- a husband and wife duo comprised of Latriece Love-Goodlett & David Goodlett. You’ll also get sneak peaks of the littles wfh with kids. šŸ™‚

Community & Empathy our super powers–How do we meaningfully and purposefully connect with folx during these challenging times? Join us as we explore cultivating and nurturing communication and connection skills with a deep focus on empathy and Blackness.

Presenter Bio

Iā€™m a divine being, who came in Black woman form, mother of 2 black sons, singer, songwriter, award winning public speaker, transformation coach and consultant and Podcast Radio Co-Cost. My social media marketing agency Real Mccoy Virtual offers, Anti-Racism/Anti-Oppression Consultation (DEI), creative solutions serving companies, organization and individuals who want to build inclusive, authentic, empathic and engaging communities. I love to be of service and hold space as folx transform their lives and to help build community.

“Participating in the Black Healing October is important to me because we need safer spaces were we can authentically be ourselves. We need to support, cultivate and nurture these spaces and ourselves. I love being in community and also the growth that comes from it. The unfolding and unlearning. This feels like an empowering opportunity to heal and transform and to give some medicine and get some medicine.”
