Presenter Bio

I am a biracial African-American woman born and raised in NYC. My pronouns are she/her/hers. I am a doctoral student studying clinical psychology, and have experience running support groups.

“Participating in Black Healing October is important to me because it’s an opportunity to learn from and support others who have been marginalized or erased. I would like to facilitate a group for those who have experienced oppression in an academic or professional setting. This will be a peer support group where we can share coping strategies for surviving toxic environments and finding avenues for success. I believe that pooling resources within our community is a powerful tool for overcoming the effects of discrimination.”
