Event Description

As a white therapist, I must recognize and challenge my privilege and inherent oppression of BIPOC. This workshop is a guided meditation through sitting with the discomfort of this acknowledgement, choosing to be different from our white ancestors, and taking the crucial steps towards fighting for equity through uplifting BIPOC.

Who Is This Event For?

Ages: teens and adults
Any gender, sexual orientation, class, level of ability.
Suggested for white people or those who feel they carry racial privilege – a Content Warning for BIPOC due to potential white fragility or guilt which may be explored.

Presenter Bio

Hi! I’m Molly Johnston, a licensed clinical social worker. I am a mental health counselor in Pittsburgh, currently working in reproductive health. I have a passion for healing at the intersections of trauma, racial justice, and body acceptance. I feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to share create healing spaces and share my work with others.
